This is kinda amazing...
Welcome to Doodle 4 Google, a competition where we invite K-12 students to work their artistic will upon our homepage logo. At Google we believe in thinking big and dreaming big, so this year we've invited U.S. kids to exercise their creative imaginations around the theme, "If I Could Do Anything, I Would …"

National Winner - 2010

Rainforest Habitat

I chose this doodle because the rainforest is in danger and it is not fair to the plants and animals. I love everything except spiders and snakes, but I would still save them.

Makenzie Melton
Age 9, Grade 3
El Dorado Springs, R-2 Schools
El Dorado Springs, Missouri

Makenzie’s design was selected from more than 33,000 student submissions from all over the country. She received a $15,000 college scholarship, a netbook computer and a $25,000 technology grant for a new computer lab at her school. Her doodle was also featured on the Google.com homepage on May 27, 2010 for millions of people to enjoy all across the country. This year, a group of "Expert Jurors", well-known illustrators, cartoonists and animators from organizations likeDisney, The Sesame Street Workshop, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates and Peanuts and Pixar Animation Studios helped select the 40 finalist doodles and attended the final awards ceremony to personally meet our winners.
